Process Engineer – Automated Assembly Processes

Innoviz is a world-leader cutting-edge LiDAR development company.
Our LiDAR enables autonomous driving in the next-generation vehicles of leading companies such as BMW and VW.

The Operations department is responsible for building and operating the HW manufacturing lines.
We are looking for a Process Engineer (PE) will be responsible for the process development of Innoviz’s new generation Lidar.
Develop and support our assembly processes, focusing on optics assemblies.

Responsibilities:

  • Technology and operational transfer of manufacturing processes from R&D to a manufacturing environment
  • Process development of optics and opt mechanics assemblies for Mass Production in the automotive industry
  • Lead and manage production process development from design phase – DFM/A, up to implementation in the production line
  • Process optimization, capacity, and quality improvement (preforming DOE)
  • Failure analysis
  • Work with a cross-functional team to identify and resolve customer and field-related issues

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc. Degree in relevant fields – Optics, Physics, Mechanics, or Electrical Engineering
  • An experienced process engineer with optics assay background and strong mechanical engineering capabilities
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, and experience in the automotive industry – an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with automation, pick and place machines, dispensers, conveyors, and robotics – an advantage
  • Working experience in mass production operations – an advantage
  • Clean room work experience – an advantage
  • Position responsibilities require project management skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Experience with multidisciplinary NPI product
  • Experience in working with vendors and CM’s
  • Good analytical skills, self-starter with drive, focus, and initiative
  • Language skills: Good English, both written and verbal
  • Software: JMP, Minitab, or equivalent
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A real team player able to efficiently work with multi-disciplines across the organization (Production, SC, R&D, QA etc.)
